The amount of fabric dye required depends on the dry weight of the article or garment you wish to dye. Each 5ml of dye powder will dye approximately 1 lb. of dry weight fabric (equivalent to 3 t-shirts, or 3 meters of medium weight cotton) to a light to medium depth of shade. Increase the amount of dye proportionally for increased weight of fabric and darker depth of shade. A 500gm (1 lb.) container will dye 100 pounds of fabric or approximately 300 t-shirts to a light to medium depth of shade. |
